Great action movies to look forward to in 2018

2017 was an excellent year for movies – from the epic Justice League to the return of Blade Runner to Get Out that shook us all, and The Fate of the Furious that kept us all entertained. But next year aims to go even bigger, and these are some of the films we can’t wait to be released in 2018:

 

1. Maze Runner: The Death Cure (25 January 2018)

The final film in the Maze Runner franchise sees Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) leading some escaped Gladers on their most dangerous mission yet.

 

2. Black Panther (16 February 2018)

T’Challa/Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) has to defend his nation of Wakanda and the world from an old foe.

 

3. Death Wish (2 March 2018)

Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) a trauma surgeon, uses his unique skills to become a vigilante killer named ‘The Grim Reaper’ after an attack on his wife and daughter.

 

4. Tomb Raider (16 March 2018)

Based on the popular video game, Tomb Raider tells the story of Lara Croft’s (Alicia Vikander) fearless journey to save the world.

 

5. Pacific Rim: Uprising (23 March 2018)

Jake Pentecost (John Boyega) is reunited with Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi) to lead the new generation of Jaeger pilots.

 

6. X-Men: The New Mutants (13 April 2018)

Teenage mutants – including Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy), Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams) and Cannonball (Charlie Heaton) – get to grips with their powers while they are kept in a secret facility.

 

7. Avengers: Infinity War (4 May 2018)

The Avengers (with some new additions) reunite to face their most powerful foe yet, the evil Thanos (Josh Brolin).
