007 trades martini for beer!

Shock. Horror. James Bond will swap his trademark martini (shaken, not stirred) for a beer in Skyfall, the next Bond movie.

Current 007, Daniel Craig, will order a Heineken instead of his famous favourite cocktail in a scene in the upcoming film.

This move comes after Heineken USA agreed on a deal to be featured in the movie, according to trade magazine Ad Age.

Vodka martini cocktails have become synonymous with the British secret agent and he is often seen ordering the drink on screen with the famous (and done to death) line “shaken, not stirred”.

The phrase was first uttered in a film by Sean Connery in 1964′s Goldfinger, while the first novel Ian Fleming included it in was 1956′s Diamonds Are Forever.

Daniel tells a barman how to mix the drink in a scene where he is playing poker in Casino Royale, instructing him to use “three measures of Gordon’s; one of vodka; half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it over ice, and add a thin slice of lemon”.

Hopefully our favourite secret agent won’t get his lines mixed up in the upcoming film. A shaken Heineken won’t go down well, Mr Bond.
