Tasmin Simón loves a car engine with a bite… we’d like to take her for a spin!

1. When and how did you get into modelling?
Well, I don’t actually model, so I can’t say I ever got into it. It’s always been tests with a friend or work related for the magazine.

2. Where do you work?

At a youth magazine called Cheeky.

3. Best job you’ve ever done?
We flew to an incredible resort in Mozambique, Indigo Bay on Bazaruto Island, to shoot for one of our summer issues, and that was by far the most memorable job. We’d shoot in the mornings or late afternoon and explore and play for the rest of the day, it was absolutely heavenly!

4.  What are the biggest misperceptions that people have of models?
I suppose it would be that models have no other desire than to pout and pose, but there’s a lot more going on than one realises.

5. Worst pick up line ever?
“You know who you look like, you look like my next girlfriend.”

6. What do you look for in a guy?
Intensity and confidence. I love when a guy has a certain presence and captures my attention without saying anything. Integrity and respect need to be a given as well.

7. What, in a guy, puts you off?
Arrogance, if you feel the need to boast you must be hiding a few insecurities.

8. How do you handle all the attention you get from guys?
If I get attention from guys, I generally laugh it off and smile. it can’t be easy having to try approach someone knowing you could get rejected. So I try to be nice unless they come on too strong, then I’ll show my teeth.

9. What do you do to stay in shape?
At the moment not much, but I have started jogging and need to get into all the outdoor activities. Cape Town is far too beautiful to not take advantage of being active outside.

10. Describe your perfect night out?
I don’t have a perfect night out in my mind, but as long as there’s good food, good company and good music I’m thrilled. A few stars thrown into the mix and you’ll have a very happy girl.

11. Worst date you’ve ever been on?
Going for ice-cream with a guy who could do nothing but talk about himself – the ice-cream was great, but the talk not so great.

12. Dinner and a movie/Drinks and clubbing/Staying at home
I would say staying home making dinner is always enjoyable. I love being in the kitchen.

14. Favourite book?
I don’t have one favourite in particular. I enjoy historical books most though.

15. Favourite car?
Cobra grrrrrr, 67 Shelby Mustang GT500 and Bumble Bee (Nissan Camaro). I love engines with a bite!

16. Favourite food?
Sushi, pizza, pasta – pretty much all of it!

17. Have you read 50 Shades of Grey?
No, it seems quite disturbing, I’m not sure I’m interested.

18. Ever been part of the mile high club?
Haha, no, perhaps one day on my honeymoon…

20.  Has anyone ever offered you a ridiculous amount of money for some “special attention?”
Goodness no and best they don’t, they won’t know what hit them, quite literally.

21.  Lights on or off?
Both on and off for different reasons….why not have both?

22.  Favourite place to go on holiday?
There are many places I still want to experience, so no favourite yet.

23. Fan of sexting?
A good girl never tells.

24. Lastly, are those real?
I only do real.
